Yaesu MH-59 RFI Fix |
|
When I first bought and used the Yaesu MH-59 at home, it worked fine, but at Field Day 2004 it suffered from RFI. My fix was:
- to purchase a small toroid core (outer diameter ½", inner diameter ¼", other characteristics UNKNOWN )
at a local electronics SURPLUS store;
- remove the back of the MH-59 and unplug the cable connector from the circuit board;
- carefully loop the cable connector through the toroid core;
- replug the cable connector into the circuit board, and reassemble the MH-59.
